St James offers opportunities to be a part of small groups which act as forums for growing together in faith. They are held in the church, people’s homes and online. These include bible studies, Faith development courses, Book clubs, and Film club.
Our current groups include:
Mothers’ Union
First Monday of the Month at 2:30pm
Our lively Mothers’ Union meets for a time of fellowship and discussion an is also a great chance to find out what is happening in the church in other parts of the world.
Bible Study on Elijah
Fortnightly on Wednesdays between 5 and 6pm on Zoom (begins 24 April)
‘This conversational resource is made up of a collection of readings and images which invite reflection on different aspects of a particular spiritual journey. The seven chosen themes, presented here in booklet form, have emerged from consideration of a famous Old Testament story where we read of the prophet Elijah going through a crisis of confidence and faith. Fleeing for his life into the desert, he gradually makes his way to Horeb, the mountain of God where he hopes to find answers and gain a new sense of direction.’ (Shoreline Conversations Website)
If you wish to take part, please either order a copy (click here) of the material at a cost of £10.00, or speak to Paul, who will bulk order booklets.
These meetings will take prayer on Zoom:
