We enjoyed the company of our four visitors from the Diocese of Gothenburg at our 10.30am worship on Sunday 13th May.

A Great Day of Celebration

A wonderful service with wonderful food and fellowship afterwards on the day when Yemurai Muchena was Confirmed and Tadi Muchena was admitted to Communion. Two adults were also received into the church family with a welcome handshake.

Bishop Gregor Celebrating at St James

There will be no 9.00am service in the Chapel when Bishop Gregor is with us at the 10.30 am service on 29th April.

Do come and join with us on this joyful occasion as we celebrate: an Affirmation of Faith, an Admission to Communion and a welcome handshake for two new members. As well as our worship we will share in fellowship over food in the hall after the service.

There will also be a Fair Trade Stall on this Sunday as is usual at the end of the month.

Rector elected as Synod Clerk

Barony College - Diocesan Synod

At the recent Diocesan Synod, our Rector, Shelley Marsh, was elected as Synod Clerk.

A senior post within the Diocese, the Synod Clerk acts for the Dean if they are absent or unable to carry out their duties. Elected by the clergy of the Diocese, Shelley will become part of the Bishop’s staff group and will become a Canon of the Cathedral, so she will be known as Revd Canon Shelley Marsh.

Shelley is the first woman to be elected to be a Synod Clerk in any of the seven dioceses of the Scottish Episcopal Church.

Welcoming our new neighbours at Low Moss was a good evening during which we heard from a number of speakers including the Governor, Michael Stoney. The food provided during the tea break was much appreciated

Fair Trade

There will be a Fair Trade stall in St James hall after 10.30am worship on Sunday 26th February.

Fairtrade fortnight starts on the 27th February so please do come and support the stall.
